Index finger pain and joints popping?

Question: Index finger pain and joints popping?

(Posted by: Desertflower on 2010-07-19 20:57:25)

My joints, a lot of them, have been popping a lot lately like every time I move or get up or stretch. I havnt had any pain though but the pop is pretty loud sometimes and it's usually my shoulder and hip and wrist joint and sometimes my back and they seem to they pop like they havnt been used in a while. Yesterday I had slight pain in my knee and today I have pain in my index finger on my right hand, it's not severe but it can't be ignored and it just hurts, the pain is right in the middle but no swelling and this is not the first time this has happened. At school, I was in this group called steppers like the movie "stomp the yard " and sometimes at practice, my index finger darts to swell a little but I don't think it hurt. I've heard this could be arthritis but I'm only 15, is it possible? This is all I've been getting and do you know if it could be anything else? I WILL! Is it so bad that I want an opinion??

One early sign of arthritis is creiptus, which is where even small movements cause your joints to crackle and pop. So, together with your pain, this could be that you are exhibiting symptoms of arthritis. Arthritis can affect people of all ages, so even though you are only 15, you could still develop the disease. With all that said, your body is rapidly changing right now and there are a lot of things that could be causing these problems, especially in someone who is active. I would recommend speaking with a doctor, as well as your parents, to help identify the problem
