My left index finger can not be straightened in the mornings without a lot of effort. Is it arthritis?
I just can not straighten it without help from my other hand or using something else to pull it straight. Once I have done that it is a bit like a spring loaded joint it move naturallyl sticks and then I can move it clenching or unclenching. Thankfully there is only very minor discomfort at other times and no problem with movement once it gets going. Any ideas?
I've got a burn on my index finger........?
I have a burn on my index finger, I have a ring on it aand cant remove it. Now I know that everyone will say go too the hospital etc.... Well I am there waiting to see a Dr. What can I expect they are Gunna do to get the ring off??They've tried softening it up but still no budge The burn itself is a 3rd degree burn and the ring is imbedded into the skin very painful
Would high index lenses make sense for me?
I know this question has been sort of asked before, but I need more specific assistance. I am nearsighted and bought a pair of new eyeglasses this past weekend from LensCrafters. Wearing them the past 5 days or so, I've been experiencing peripheral distortion and there is some strain in my right eye, though not the same strain I feel when I am not wearing corrective lenses. As a matter of fact, my straight ahead vision is crystal clear, so I don't think that the precription is was off. I went back to the optometrist today who did a very quick exam my regular person was not there and this person seemed very rushed and insisted that my left eye needed a stronger rx, but that's not the eye that feels the strain...and I have no problems with my contacts old rx . He then quickly jumped to, " Oh, of course you need a higher index lens with your prescription." I took the glasses back to LensCrafters who will happily replace the lenses...for an additional $210 high index 1.67 lenses plus their antireflective coating . My question how likely is this to solve my problem, i.e., is this worth the money? My Rx L 3.00x 0.50x093, R 4.50x 0.50x068. Most websites seem to leave this as a gray zone for high index versus polycarbonate LC Featherwates .I should add that this was my actually my annual exam last exam was almost a year ago. I bought the eyeglasses with the old ish script to use my 2011 benefits in time. My script changed to 3.0 from 2.75 in the left eye, where it had been for the past 3 years.Also, LensCrafters only carries 1.67, not 1.60. I could go somewhere else altogether, but would have to kiss my 2011 benefits goodbye.
My left index finger feels icy cold and tingly, what is it?
My left index finger feels like it has a brain freeze, and the tingling is annoying me. I don't know what it is but it feels as if its spreading to my thumb. What the heck is going on with my finger? I try to cover it up with blankets, but it still has that ice feeling to it. Anyone know whats going on?

I am trying to order a pair of high index progressive sunglasses. R 8.00, L 6.75 My choices are a 1.74 index without polarized lenses with anti reflective coating and tinted. or b 1.67 index with polarized lensesWhat would be a better choice?How does the sunglasses with anti reflective coating and tinted compare with the polarized lenses?Appreciate any responses.
What's wrong with my index and middle finger on my left hand?
I just woke up like 40 minutes ago, did my usual morning routine and then my index and middle finger began to feel numb. I thought it was because I slept on that hand too long and it became like that, but then I was thinking if that was the case, then the numbness would have disappeared by now.I'm fifteen by the way.
My left index finger is swollen about an inch starting at the tip. puss has come out but only a little?
i noticed it to be slightly painful after a week i was able to squeeze some puss out but it hurts so much only a little comes out now my finger has a grey color to it about half an inch from the tip on the bottom ive been to the er and they only prescribed me antibiotics and pain medication. ive soaked the finger in warm water the most i can tolerate atleast. is there a more effective method i can use to get all the puss out asap. the skin is hard on my finger tip where the gray color is and right at the front end of the nail is where the puss is coming out . its very painful and throbs. i appreciate any help
Popped bloodvessel on my index finger knuckle?
In August, I was playing volleyball and i popped the blood vessel right on my knuckle. It still hasnt healed and its february. I asked my doctor, and she gave me absolutely no help..said it might be some sort of vericose but i doubt it. What should I do? It's really gross looking and I want it gone as fast as possible. Its actually distended from my knuckle...ick. Help?
Do HI index acetate or polycarbonate lenses without the UV filter still filter out either UVB or UVA or both?
Is the UV filter that opticians are selling necessary? Is there a chance that without the UV filter, lenses only filter UVB and let UVA through, like window glass? If that is so then a UV filter is definitely necessary, because you do not want UVA alone. If not, what would be the benefit of a UV filter, if people without glasses do not have one anyway?
Looking for a type of body mass index chart?
A few months ago I came across this new type of BMI chart that puts everything into consideration when determining your BMI. It really isnt a BMI chart, but it allowed you to put how many calories you eat..how much you work out, if you worked out a different levels and a lot of different things, as well as lifestyle things. It was created by some university. I cant seem to find it. Does anyone know what it is. Like I said it allows for a ton of things to be inputted.It was a really complex thing. A few questions where you could input a ton of info. Like if you worked out a lot, a little. A ton of stuff
Does the glycemic index of foods matter?
The glycemic index does not seem to be set in stone like fat grams, carbohydrates, sodium and protien. If I eat high glycemic index foods then I feel tired in comparison to eating low glycemic index foods. I wouldn't be suprised if high glycemic index foods increase your risk for chronic diseases. So many factors affect the glycemic index of a food. How long the food has been sitting on the shelf, was the food refridgerated, microwaved, etc. Does the glycemic index of foods matter?
